Sharpshooter Backpacks/Bergans missing?

On their unit card the Sharpshooter unit appears to be wearing a backpack with a bedroll like some other units do, but in the game they are just standard units with nothing.

Just a small thing i know but are they "supposed" to be wearing them?

Next I want to do a playthrough as the Aizu and go for the Wolves of Mibu achievement as i am a huge Shinsengumi history nerd.
