Denounced Family Members

I've just won a game being HRE and was scrolling thought the family tree when I realised it said

Emperor Leopold, Denounced 1456 AD
Emperor

At first I thought it meant he was killed by the inquisition but all the rest of my family members don't have that and a few have died from the inquisition. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what that means.

Cheers

The only thing I can think of, if you're sure that it's not the inquisition, is that maybe he died while excommunicated. If there's a rational, it's that since he wasn't part of the Catholic Church when he died, that nobody cares about his death date, since he was "dead" at excommunication.

Wow, long game. Never got anywhere near that date. I agree with HHHH8, I think he died excommunicated.
