Nice map, the interactive toggle options are pure genius. But might I suggest you change the colors so they actually correspond with the faction colors if it's not too much work, i.e. Egypt is blue now, Parthia is dark purple, and Pontus is yellow.

Havn't they stated that a province is 2-4 regions? this must mean that there is at least one city in Scotland!

Guys! assuming that the first goal of a faction is to unite a province by bringing all its regions under its control, does that mean Epirus HAS to go to war with Macedon, and Sparta has to go to war with Athens? Because they both start with regions within the same province (given that this map is correct).

If you want to control the entire province and set "edicts" then apparently, yes, yes you would. It looks like Epirus is going to be mighty Macedon's first (almost immediate) target. Poor Epirus! And good luck Epirus taking on the Macedonian behemoth for the same reason. I am a little surprised about Athens and Sparta seemingly needing to go to war to unite - they each had their own regions, the Peleponnese and Attica - but they were also fierce rivals, so I suppose this is one way to reflect that. Curiously the chance of an AI "United Greece" looks slim, as they also need Crete and ... what is that other island just north of Crete representing?

What an interesting way of controlling/guiding faction growth. Clever.

This is a fantastic map! What an incredible effort. Thank you Darko!

Is Trapezos correct? I thought provinces were 2-4 regions but this looks like one and it's not even a capital region? Maybe I'm just seeing it wrong... o.O
Pontus is actually my real name, I'm not too big on the faction. ;)

I'm not sure we've seen anything definite, but I think it should probably be apart of Bithynia & Pontus. If that's the case, though, the borders do need to be fixed.

Even though they didn't show us but the capital of Gedrosia could only be Pura so I think it would be safe to use it. The other city in Gedrosia is most likely (Alexandria) Rhambacia.

    Hello ,

I am from Morocco (North Africa ) , i have studied much the history of the regions around the mediterranean ( North Africa , Europe

and the middle east ) therefore i would like to make a few suggestions for you to make your map more realistic and interesting .

    in North Africa:
-the city you have named Dimmidi has to be renamed Cirta .
-A new region at the middle of Mauretania Tingitana should be added with Volubilis as its settlement (It was the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania Tingitana)
-The province of Getulia should be added to the south of Mauretania with Dimmidi as its Capital
    in Syria :
-Replacing the Region of Dura with a new one (Damascus) would be a good idea especially that Dura is more connected to Mesopotomia . The latter region belonging to the modern state of Syria means nothing neither from a historical point of view nor from a geographical one.
    In Nabatea :
-Only Sinai and neguev were part of the kingdom of Nabatea and settled by nabateans .... Sinai and neguev should form one region (or Two regions ) of Nabatea where as Palestine Should be a Seperate Province . The settlement of Mampsis in Neguev was important to The nabateans .
-There was no city called Maraba in Arabia felix , there was one called Ma'arib (Maraba might be a latinization of this name)
    In Europe :
Caledonia and Hibernia should be seperated with Caledonia as a region of Britain(or as an independent province) and hibernia as a province.
-there is no sense of Bagacum and Vesontio being enclosed in a province called Germania minor .They are close to the rhine but they were settled by gaulish tribes unlike the areas around cologne , Bonn , Tongeren etc ... in the northern-Western bank of the rhine that were already settled by germanic tribes prior to the arrival of the romans .
    - A province of Epirus must be created with 2 regions :Apollonia + a region where you put a city representing the region of Epirus vetus .

    Thank you .
