Worth getting FOTS while waiting for rome II to be patched?

For several reasons i missed out on this, won't go into them, but i enjoyed shogun II.

Is it worth getting while i wait for patches to rome II?

It's quite fun, though the singleplayer balance is pretty off -- mostly because as soon as you get a cannon you're untouchable.

I recently saw some stuff with this low key youtuber I mean the sounds a bit off but they do talk about the dynamics of the game a little during and its pretty fun to watch you could always message him about it after!

FoTS in pretty fun and different enough from Shogun 2. If you like Ranged combat you will love FoTS.

I prefer Shogun 2 over it but both are really enjoyable.

FOTS is worth every penny. Tons of great stuff, naval bombardment, gatling guns, foreign troops and advisors. However it does feel a bit easy playing a Clan loyal to the Emperor so if you want a challenge choose a Shogun aligned one. I'm thinking of the clan that sticks to the old Samurai ways here, can't remember the Clan name but its much harder.

I actually prefer Shogun 2 over FOTS but both are excellent.

Excellent so far, really enjoying the campaign. Saga faction came with ltd edition so have been playing them. Box is very nice.
Don't use art on seige assualts, unless enemy has art ..or just silly.
Otherwise brilliant so far. Great quality overall, everywhere.
A lot of thought/work and design has gone into this just as shougn 2.
Very high and artistic production values.

Thanks for the tip chris, there was a faction for the shogunate labeled 'hard' so might try them next.

yes,i'm actually considering restarting a new campaign on that game while waiting for rome 2 to be at it's best as it should be

The clans name is Aizu and they stick to traditional samurai warfare. I was playing the game this morning.

FOTS is worth it even if Rome II had no problems, its a very fun and unique gameplay experence

I've bought Shogun 2, then ROTS, then FOTS digital all of them. Now i'm thinking buying the Gold Edition, box, just to put it in my library... gotta love this game, with all of its add-ons. I like more the FOTS campaign than the Sengoku Jidai or the FOTS campaign. It's more diplomatic and hard on all fronts.

I bought FoTS in the steam sale, been playing that for now. Going to play it until Rome 2 is fixed, which is probably a loooooooong time.
