Vac Auth Error (Coop lan campaign)

My error is at the top. Long paragraph. Long story short: Me and my friend have about 5 or so hours into a campaign and now everytime we load, his camera won't move or turn or anything. We tried quite a few things including modifying the save file. Got back in, loaded, said VAC authentication error. I don't want a vac ban for a damn bug that was never fixed. Help!?
