So accourding the rules of Warhammer world, if the humans still fear from Gorthor, and Beastmen still worship to him, he is basically a chaos daemon. I mean this is what chaos do, if you think the devil will come and eat your soul, and if you believe it enough, the devil supposed to exist, come and eat your bloody soul.
For when the imperials feer from him he can come back again and again, in the name of chaos. (Like, the green knight, sigmar angels, or any chaos daemons)

So, may he has a chance, but I still love better the concept of Thaurox and Ghorros. Also I think we need beastmen tribes in the new world and in the dark lands. Its a good chance, would be sad to miss them.

Yeah that is true. This game has a lack of beastmen tribes anyway in my opinion. I think CA should add more tribes or consider reworking the AI becouse right now they get destroyed after 5 rounds. Thats a really **** thing to happen becouse like that they are never even a minor threat.

Quite a interesting idea. Maybe when public order decreases enough gorthor would spawn with a chaos warherd? Would definitly be a interesting mechanic

here is a quote from CA
Just to clarify - Total War: WARHAMMER is pre-End Times, it's not based on any one particular edition.

Even if it is set in no particular time, a character that is dead thousands of years before the birth of other characters can't really be playable. Dawn of War is set at no particular time during 40k, but that doesn't mean that Roboute Guilliman could be playable, he died ~10,000 years before that point. (Or didn't die, and it just in an ULTRA-SLUMBER.)

Hey guys, I think it's important to clarify as I know we've mentioned 8th edition before but as a whole Total War: WARHAMMER is Pre-end times by way of the narrative but as far as the army rosters go we focus more on 8th edition as it's the most up to date. Hope that makes sense

I can only assume they meant roster as in characters deemed living, and character line up having some sense of continuity.

In any event I don't consider him a suitable LL for Beastmen given how he's so similar to existing ones, or overpowered if he starts with a mount; at least Thorgrim doesn't get to outflank units. He's basically your typical savage horned melee fighter. This is why I suggest Taurox, which is at leas a Minotaur, info doesn't suggest he's dead from lore story, and has much better leeway in the realm of unique skill sets.
People will just find Beastmen boring if their Lord selection consists of the same type. Legendary Lord selection should really influence how you play the game as a faction, it's no wonder some LLs are melee fighters whereas others specialize as magic casters. That's the problem with LLs like Ungrim, which has no niche about him other than buffing a terrible unit that's not even available until mid/late game. Decisions like that ultimately benefit neither the game nor even the players that want them.

Corrected action is the most sincere form of apology.

He died during the end times I believe, shot dead by Markus Wulfhart.
