CPU for total war series

Whats the best intel cpu out right now so far im choosing between the i7-8700, I7-8700k, or the i5-8600k. Not sure which would be more bang for my buck in the total war games.

    Similar performance for the 3 cpu's. 8600k should be more than sufficient, it's also a lot cheaper at the moment.

    Yup, i7 not worth it in terms of gaming. The rule of thumb lately has been if you have the money to buy an i7, dont. Buy an i5 instead and spend the saved money on a better video card.

    Also, dont forget about Ryzen...thats also a viable option these days.
