The 4 Monogods - Core Rosters & Additional Contents

LudboneLudbone Registered Users Posts: 1,884

Special thanks to @Gotrek_Beastslayer for the Monogods Wallpaper!

I made this thread in order to collect all my previous Mono-Rosters Lists in a single post.

IMPORTANT

  • In order to make these Lists I took into consideration WH2 Core Races's Rosters, like Dark Elves:

  • I added units from several sources such as AoS, ET, Forge World, AoR and more.

Nice effort post, I especially like that you added images as well. Shame that AoS slaneesh models are so ugly. Clearly inspired by a certain time period I'm not a big fan of. All hope in Tzeentech.

I need to admit, such threads insipre me to making possible SE army list.

I keep hope that one day, you'll accept that Fantasy Slaanesh include a sizable Dark Elves chunk, both in lore and on TT.

Great job! Very well put together. I hope we never see the Soul Grinder in TWW3 though.

A few units? Like 1-3? Sure. But Slaanesh isn’t DE 2.0.

That's the Dechala DLC where she comes in with... Anointed right? Been awhile since I saw that list. Give a couple extra Drycha-esque DE units for her. Also would be a good time to add the Serpents of Slaanesh if they aren't Base roster.

Sleek, elegant Slaaaanesh elves are vastly superior to AoS units that have had spikes thrown up on them.
    Hyped for TWW3.

Ever since the trailer came out i just assumed that the greater daemons of every mono-god would be the starting lord and the mortal champion would be the dlc with an herald LL as FLC to follow said DLC.

For example: Skarbrand (core) Valkia (DLC) Uzhul skulltaker (FLC) and then others would arrive in time.

Speaking of sleek and elegant, am I the only one who intensely dislikes slaangors as a concept? The other marked beastmen kinda make sense to me, but I can't reconcile a god of what's supposed to be art, beauty and perfection with a race of shoddy half human half beasts who represents primal vileness.

Makes sense. 4's the ideal LL count for Monos. GD core, herald FLC, Mortal or former mortal DLC. Then another. Good deal.

I think a bit of difference is needed.

    - Slaanesh is going to get N'kari 9/10 due to the massive hints he got in WH2 Vortex Epilogues.

    - Khorne getting U'Zhul looks almost certain if we take into consideration the little statues present at the end of WH3 Trailer, when Cathay is revealed.
Also Skarbrand is the "Exiled One" so i don't think he should lead the armies of Khorne...not immediately i mean. He looks more of an FLC LL.

I hope Nurgle gets something different than a daemon, that's why i fully agree with Glottkin as Nurgle's Core LL. The Trio is the best, most versatile and coolest looking LL of the whole game!

Changeling as Tzeentch Core LL? I saw some Youtubers talking about him and his tricks...

I love the concept and lore behind Slaangors. They are utterly conflicted between their primal anti-civilization nature and their love of fine luxuries, jewels, clothes, perfumes and so. I'd even say they are by far the most interesting of marked gors because they are the only one that aren't just "must destroy everything". They love civilization, they love crafts, ornaments, art. But they also hate it. It's just so interesting.

With that said, I think they could look better than they do on TT. They should be even more ornamented and as "beautiful" as a goatmen can be. They should be this horrible mix of beauty and animality. Like give them flowing locks of hair, handsome physiques, maybe even almost-human faces, yet with contrasting ugly goat eyes, hind legs, and so on. More than just hairless beastmen as they are now.

Damn, if only we can get all those LLs too! But i'm happy even with 6 LLs per Monogod 😆

My dog is in heat right now. She definitely belongs to Slaaaaanesh.

I think it's potentially a really cool contrast. Beautiful humans or Elves, disgusting, animalistic beasts.

Not necessarily implemented the best but there's potential there.

I actually like this about them, because they're debatably the most nuanced of the marked gors. AOS' Beasts of Chaos' battletome mentions that slaangors feel so conflicted about their indulgement in elegant, carefully made crafts that it turns into self-loathing.

But think of it this way instead: the god of excess is not such an unfitting match for the impulsive, primal beastmen.

that actually looks like uzhul skulltaker. Katarina is already revealed and we know that cathay will have some dragon-based character. So you might be right. Nice find!

This may imply that dragon emperor will actually transform into a dragon tho (which would be so cool to see)

The Dragon Emperor should always be in Dragon form, and thats probably what CA meant with their unusual leadership thing.
Albion would make the perfect Total War Warhammer 3 pre-order; with Hengus the Druid and Bran MacKerog as Legendary Lords.

That'd be awesome if he could transform. A human that sits on the throne and turns Dragon for battles. Weird

The red one definitely looks like a Herald. @sasori1548 I don't think it's U'zhul unless he's a LH from day 1. I doubt he'd be the LL. Skarby boy seems the obvious LL. A herald does make sense on the game board though.

Beastmen enjoying perfume and art seems a pretty funny idea, I'll admit that. I guess in AoS where the material plane consistence is less important I can see it making sense. In fantasy, where do they get their crafts in the primitive beastmen society?

Presumably by raiding settlements or possibly by running around with Slaaneshi groups who probably would trade for services rendered...
