We broke 600! Thanks to everyone whose read, signed, and shared so far. Keep it up! If you're on the fence then give it another read and maybe head on over Red Rover. Thanks

Also special thanks to Melkor for signing and sharing this petition in a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2VPJ6hcm7Q If we were in game then this would be the equivalence of a Zhao Yun savior of the nation event.

The fact you joined to just post a petition is jokes. I fully support this, and really hope CA issue an apology or something to those fans who gave a lot to this game, and still love and play it hoping for future content. Me included, though I have stopped playing for a while now, cause my old saves don't work every patch, which I find annoying to say the least. But yea hope this wins and I commend you for creating this.

Thank you. Yeah I'm usually a pretty quite and reserved person. Trying to do all this outreach has been a challenge for me.

Congrats on having established contact with our compatriots! I'm sure that if there's any chance of success with this it's because of a strong international coalition.

I guess It turns out doing model united nations actually did end up helping me in life. (I was Malaysia at conference 1 and Togo at conference 2)

I just wanted to leave a small update here. When spreading this petition around it's been met with the obvious critique of "petitions don't matter!" To those people I would say that we have more of an impact than you think. I actually have some analytics for the change .org petition and so far it has been viewed by around 40,000 people. Even if those 40,000 don't particularly care about 3k, how might they feel about purchasing future CA/SEGA products when support for them could be cut at anytime?
So I would again ask anyone on the fence about signing to please reconsider. We are making an impact and every signature helps us make a bigger one.
    Thank you all.

It's a great accomplishment. I already thought getting 200 strangers to sign a doomed petition was unlikely, let alone 500. Combine that with the Chinese petition's almost 2000, and it's looking very impressive. I'd imagine actual invested player numbers are much higher.

At the very least, this illustrates the weirdness of the business decision. Let's say only 900 of the people that signed the petition would continue to buy the next DLCs, that would still create enough revenue to keep 1 or 2 staff members on the project (and I imagine DLC numbers are higher).

Thanks so much for this EighthCitizen, it's really appreciated. Even if the higher ups choose to do nothing with this, you've succeeded in vindicating our own feelings about this decision.

Thank you. While there have been haters the support received by total strangers was worth it. Looking forward to joining it with the Chinese petition and seeing how much that one has grown.

The petitions were sent to the heads of CA and SEGA at 8:30 AM (GMT). Together they had 3000 signatures. Now if we get a response is in the hands of SEGA/CA. Let's hope it's enough to at least be acknowledged. Regardless, thank you to everyone here who read, signed, and shared the petition. Part of my hope with this petition was to show that these are more than just entertainment products and mean more to us than that. You all helped show that. From the bottom of my heart thank you all.

    best,

How'd you do all the art assets, programming, QA, etc with 1 or 2 staff members?

Considering it's been about a week since we sent the petition and we haven't heard anything back I can only assume that's CA/SEGA's way of telling us to pound sand. It speaks volumes to a companies customer service when 3000 collective customers can't get so much as a hello. I still hope they'll keep seeing the backlash and reconsider, but again hope is not high.
All we can do is keep making noise I guess. Keep bug reporting. Also while the "official" petition was sent on the 6th, this petition: http://chng.it/wvn9QBsN is still technically open if you missed out the first time and want to keep adding your names to it. It probably won't help, but it can't hurt and it keeps helping to show CA we are still upset. There's nothing to lose at this point.
Beyond that I don't know what to do except ask St. Jude for help.

I suppose they (whoever's in charge) will have read it and are aware of it, but the general decision seems to be to remain silent on it, perhaps in the hope the (small) storm will pass. How's the communication going with the other petitioners?

The petition's still being signed and discontent remains growing. So far, you have shared it with TW fans and creators on YouTube, right? I think it might be worth sending out your petition (and the news of its success, the international coalition you have built) to the game websites. They can't report on what they're unaware of, after all.

I created and sent a press release along to most major gaming publications and journalists. No one appears interested in reporting on it. It's not great timing with E3 and writing about review bombing brings far more eyes than petitions unfortunately.

That "no" was about posting the petition on Discord tho. (I mean kinda obviously it would be no, they were already pretty generous to let it on the forums - all things considered.)

At this point CA is very unlikely to say anything (because again, I'm not sure what people would want them to say without doing more damage), they will either release a (much needed) patch to smooth up the issues still in the game or they won't and will have their full focus on the next 3K game (whetever it turns out to be)

Yes, that exchange was in regards to posting it in the official discord which was not allowed. We have not actually heard anything back or "official" about the petition that we sent in on the 6th.

We do know they know about it and have received it. So any silence going forward is willing and or strategic on CA's part.

I left an update on the petition. It appears at this point the CA/SEGA response to all of this is to keep silent. In my book the silent treatment is the equivalent of telling us all to pound sand. Not sure where to go from here, but the petition will remain up until the release of '3k:Reforged" or whatever they chose to call the future title. Till then, all the best.
