Do y´all have it within you to imagine the supreme glory of the Immense Great bastion teeming with blocks of Terracotta soldiers, regiment after regiment of black powder warriors and artillery (invented when Nehekhara was still inhabited by the living!)
The glorious and mysterious Dragons of the east traversing the skies above keeping a keen eye out for the myriad of meteors summoned by the many Cathayan Sorcerer´s. At the center of this impervious defense the supreme ruler of Grand Cathay, The Dragon Emperor sits and direct his all-encompassing will on his millions of subjects!

The time of the Empire as the major human state is over

The time of Grand Cathay is now....

Cathay is the most important race in TWW history.
    Hahahahahah
No they are a lore footnote with no importance
Ohhhh.... you're in for a surprise then.

Cathay is one of the core races of TWW3. And 1 of 2 of races with 2 LLs. Check the Steam page!
Ok than it’s the most important race in WH 3 but not TWWH history ;-)
Which race's implementation will have a bigger impact on the success of the series?

Every single other core race has had an army book to go off of. A template for implementation. Even Kislev had lore, history, and lolbears. Cathay's got by far the biggest potential to impact the series positively, or negatively.
Hardly, just do what I do with the other joke of an inclusion.

    Ignore it.
    Slaaanesh?

You're welcome to ignore the most important part of TWW3. It doesn't make it any less important.

I'm hyped for Monogods, but it's pretty easy to guess who and what's coming for them. For that reason I've jumped on the Cathay Hype train instead because I've been waiting for 20 odd years to see the Eastern factions fleshed out. And the mystery of their roster lends itself to massive speculations and hype.
Something tells me this comment will get a Disagree

Why would I ignore Belakor and the update to Warriors of Chaos?
    Campaign Management is for suckers.

But…that’s not an argument for the most important race in the history of TWWH :) maybe the race weh the most potential

It's got the most impact on sales. It's the most important.

That's a stretch. The biggest impact are prior Total Warhammer fans, period. People who have 1 & 2 chaining into 3 like the majority here have the single biggest effect on sales. Any new players are going to be easily dwarfed by that number.

So the biggest impact is simply the franchise itself.

They're the most important to you individually.

    As a whole Cathay reigns.

No they were a lore footnote with little known importance
Then show where they have importance to the setting. Show where they have more than a footnote in lore.

I imagine we will see the pre-order bonus shortly; purely because CA will want us to start pre-ordering the game.

I'm guessing they will start with Cathay and the siege rework, then follow that up with the pre-order, and then they roll through the other 3 Chaos Gods plus random other campaign changes, then they finish up with the 9th LL.

Unless the "major surprises we very much doubt you’re going to see coming" actually is stuff we won't see coming then there may be more. The optimistic interpretation is that the 9th LL is something we actually won't expect and Be'lakor is actually a 10th unlockable LL kinda like how they marketed 3K (if I'm remembering correctly).
You know, I forgot about that "surprise" thing and now I'm quite curious to hear more about it. CA seemed confident it would be something unexpected, but then again, there is a difference between unexpected for the baseline player and unexpected for us crumbs-eating forumites. Still, I think that it won't be related to the 9th lord, since he's already been teased, and hence not really a surprise !
I'm hopeful this will be the announcement of (at least) 4 player campaigns... but we will see.
