Yeah..

Nothing "hinting" at a delay was clearly ballsack, especially as we entered the second week of September with not much sign of the pace quickening.

No "evidence" of delay, they may have been on surer grounds saying. But there was a reasonable case for suspecting a delay at least two months back.

The biggest hint about the delay was today's announcement that there would be a delay.

The radio silence for the past couple months was announced as a planned silence until marketing resumes with Cathay in September, which apparently continues to be the case.

Also, there were threads about people suspecting delays pretty regularly, but the opposite was also true.

Honestly i did not see this delay coming, but what i found worst was the known CA whiteknights on these forum absolutely demolishing anyone who deigned to mention the mere possibility of a Total War Warhammer 3 delay, those obnoxious entities should really put a sock in it sometimes, like they went for the throat whenever people just mentioned it as a possibility, it was barf inducing really.

Fun aside, I'm glad I never pre-ordered or bought in to the hype. The crushing disappointment of the chopped down Mortal Empires map which has tormented my map ocd and been the cause of countless dwarf genocides was enough for me.

Could have been done if 1) They didn't added a pre-order one year + in advance and 2) they were transparent from the beginning. The only reason they are announcing Cathay this week+ other stuff is so that the Warhammer crowd does not riot. Don't expect a ''huge amount of news'' for the future or a weekly communication diary.

It's an internet forum. No one cares if you were right or wrong. We're just a bunch of people chatting about a game. If you genuinely feel the need to get upset because you were right in the past and people disagreed then you should take a break from the forum.

My new crazy idea which will be proven by confirmation bias is Kislev complainers caused the delay as ca panicked and redesigned ice and bears and stuff.
