I play vanilla and kingdoms. Only, because I find it to hard to get any mods working with steam. I wish I had a mod where I could be a small weak christian nation, or one with more RPG elements.

Che, I respect you for actually sticking to your rules. Evey time I try to make some rules I fail. Somehow I get power sick in the start. First I take one settlement, then I see my shot on another, and then another. And before you know it you own all of Europe. Annoys the hell out off me when i do that.

I use the retro-fit mod exclusively now when I want to play Medieval II. Have a game going now as Spain. The Teutonic campaign in Kingdoms was one of my favorites, followed by the Britannica one.

I have re installed ME2/Kingdoms, I instantly downloaded Kingdoms grand campaign mod, im loving it!
Its basicly the kingdoms nations put into the vanilla campaign, with all the units etc. Im playing as the Byzantine Empire, and working to reclaim the territories of the Roman Empire. Im loving this game so much more than Empires/Napoleon, its so much deeper with the family trees etc.
Cannot reccomend Kingdoms Grand Campaign Mod enough
after that I will try Call of Warhammer

haha Ruz you old fella!
I played my last single player campaign, with Byzantines (3rd or 4rth time total) before a few months. I enjoy both vanilla and mods games. And if opportunity arises, I won't say no to a MP game with Ruz
