First off, if you would rather me just post this as a thread, forget the rest of this First, i want to get all of my system specs shown on my computer screen.. I know i have to type something into "run" under the windows start menu, but i forgot what to type :P I am trying to find out what motherboard i have.

second, i have a GTS 250 512mb video card, and a AMD Phenom II tri-core 720 processor, and a 700W PSU. Depending on my mobo, should i upgrade in the near future? If so, what should i upgrade, and what to? I almost wanna upgrade my GPU to a ATI Radeon HD5770...

PS- My questions may be easier once i find out what my mobo is :P (i forgot, and my mom threw all off my comp component boxes away :/)

PPS- If i do upgrade, it might not be till Shogun 2 is out/ a week or two later.

EDIT: my mobo= MS-7388

If that helps at all :P

Go to Start and type dxdiag. Your board is "System Model."

I went and checked on the 5770 for you and the specs look exactly like my 4890, only with true DX11 support. This kind of worries me because, while the 4890 is a beast for DX10, I can't imagine adding tessellation to its workload.

Would that be an improvment from my current GPU, or should i not waste my money?

The performance of the GTS 250 and the 5770 are almost the same.

Actually, it looks as though you have a really well balanced computer is it stands. If you upgrade any one component, you may start to see bottlenecks pop up. (Some other part of the computer not keeping up with the new part.)

Granted, while the above review was done with the 1GB version of your card, that difference shows up more if you are using a high resolution monitor.

What resolution monitor do you have?

Yeah, you really wouldn't see much of a difference with the 5770. A 6870 or 6950 would be more of a worthwhile jump, although more expensive.

I am still trying to find complete information on your board. Can you find a more complete part number than just the one you gave above? Maybe look directly on the board. Should be the largest set of numbers on it.
