i was wondering do we know how many cores shogun 2 supports? 2? 4?

    Necro, good question, so I moved your thread, sorry- Technical!

    We do NOT have a specific answer to this to my knowledge, however if you were to look at one of the stickies above, you will see where I have linked a video in which they are tracking 8 threads of a quad core they are trying to balnce demand on... Exciting stuff, if it is implemented well and actually works. I am hopeful!

    here's one hoping for true hexa core support :3 Not 4 physical and 4 virtual, 6 feckin physical! :D

    They have been very noncommital about specifying core or thread specific numbers, but the video I linked showed 8 threads, and when they discussed physical core numbers, they were either being cagey or optimistic that their programming plus the Intel TBB program should improve distribution for any number of cores. While that remains to be seen, there is no doubting that the use of even 4 physical cores in any sort of way above 0 to 1% would be a true improvement over previous titles. Watch the link, and LOOK AT THOSE VALUES! ;)
